Salesforce · Legal Matter Management

Your cases are moving. Your systems shouldn't slow them down.

Mitratech CaseCloud — formerly AdvoLogix — centralizes matters, documents, time, billing and client communication inside Salesforce. Twopir Consulting implements, configures and extends it around how your firm actually works, not how a default template assumes you do. One platform. One matter record. Real operating visibility.

Where Firms Stall

The real cost is operational friction

Most firms that come to us don't have a technology problem — they have a systems design problem. Matter data lives in the wrong place, billing runs behind, and reports take too long to build. CaseCloud solves this when it is configured correctly from the start.

Matter data scattered across disconnected tools

Case details in one system, documents in another, billing in a third. Every handoff creates re-entry, version risk, and lag between team members who can't see the full picture.

Time tracking that doesn't connect to billing

Hours logged but never invoiced. Estimates that drift from actuals. Invoices assembled by hand from notes rather than pulled from tracked billable activity. Revenue leaks at every step.

Document workflows without version control

Drafts shared by email, approvals tracked in threads, and the latest version unclear. For a firm handling complex legal documents, that ambiguity creates inefficiency and risk.

Deadlines that rely on individual memory

Statute deadlines and court dates tracked in personal calendars and sticky notes instead of the matter record. Consistency depends on people remembering, not on the system.

No operating visibility for leadership

Managing partners rely on weekly reports assembled after the fact. Matter status, billing exposure, team capacity — none of it visible in real time, so decisions lag the data.

Onboarding new matters takes too long

Client intake feeds one system, retainer setup lives in another, and matter creation means manual re-entry across tools. What should take an hour takes days — on every engagement.

Platform Context

What Mitratech CaseCloud is — and who it's for

Mitratech CaseCloud — formerly AdvoLogix, acquired by Mitratech in 2024 — is a legal case and matter management platform that runs natively on Salesforce. It gives legal teams one operating environment for matters, documents, time, billing and client communication, inside the Salesforce org they already use, instead of a parallel system stitched to it.

It is built for law firms, in-house legal teams and public-sector legal departments — from boutique practices to multi-office, multi-practice organizations. Because it lives inside Salesforce, matter data sits under the platform's own security model: role-based access, field-level permissions and full audit trails, without a separate compliance stack.

Twopir Consulting is the delivery partner, not the software vendor. Mitratech builds the product; we implement it, configure it around your firm's workflow logic, and — where the managed package ends — extend it with custom Salesforce development. The rest of this page explains exactly where each of those three begins and ends.

Three Ways We Work With CaseCloud

Implement. Configure. Build on top.

These are three different services with three different buyers, and Twopir offers all three. The boundary that matters: configuration is everything the managed package can do through its own settings, templates and workflow tools; custom development starts where your requirement needs Apex, Lightning components or API work beyond the package. We tell you which side of that line each requirement sits on before we scope it.

Implement CaseCloud

Stand the platform up inside your Salesforce org — cleanly, without creating technical debt or a parallel environment.

  • Managed-package installation and org assessment
  • Object relationships and security-model alignment
  • Data migration from Clio, MyCase, Filevine and legacy tools
  • User setup, permissions and rollout support
  • Coexistence design for orgs already using Salesforce CRM

Configure It To Your Firm

Tailor the platform's own machinery to your intake-to-resolution process — no code, no template defaults.

  • Matter stage logic per practice area
  • Assignment rules, approval workflows and escalations
  • Matter templates, checklists and document libraries
  • Billing rules, retainer draw logic and rate structures
  • Dashboards and reports leadership actually uses

Build On Top Of It

Where your requirement outgrows the package, we extend it with custom Salesforce development — the same org, one data model.

  • Apex and Lightning components for firm-specific logic
  • API integrations with billing, e-signature and document tools
  • AI-powered document extraction (AWS Textract)
  • Client portals and external-facing experiences
  • Cross-object automation beyond package workflows
Platform Capabilities

What CaseCloud puts inside your Salesforce org

A complete capability set for legal operations — from matter initiation through billing and reporting. These are the platform's modules; what we deliver is each one configured to how your firm actually runs.

Matter & Client Management

Every matter tracked from open to close, tied to consolidated client records in the Salesforce CRM layer.

  • Status tracking, assignment logic and milestones
  • Full relationship history and matter associations
  • Communication logs and contact hierarchies
  • Conflict checking on intake

Document Management

Case documents stored with version control, access permissions and audit history — no external DMS required for most firms.

  • Version control and approval history
  • Permission model matched to team structure
  • Document generation from matter data
  • Templates for common legal documents

Time Tracking & Billing

Billable hours tracked directly in Salesforce and connected to matters, rates and invoices — so nothing billable slips through.

  • Time entries linked to matters and billing rates
  • Invoices generated from tracked activity
  • Retainer and trust account handling
  • Multi-currency billing for international clients

Deadlines & Alerts

Automated notifications for deadlines, task assignments and escalations — statute dates and court dates visible across the team.

  • Statute-deadline and court-date tracking
  • Task assignment notifications
  • Escalation rules for stalled matters
  • Consistent across members and matter types

Workflow Automation

Document generation, task routing, approvals and status transitions triggered by matter events rather than human memory.

  • Automated task assignment and routing
  • Approval flows and status transitions
  • Matter templates that accelerate new-case setup
  • Checklists that enforce consistency

Reporting & Dashboards

Customizable reports on matter status, team performance, billing trends and firm throughput — real-time, not assembled spreadsheets.

  • Matter pipeline and case-aging views
  • Billing exposure and WIP dashboards
  • Team workload and capacity reporting
  • Cross-office and practice-area comparisons
Integration Architecture

How CaseCloud connects to the rest of your stack

Because CaseCloud is Salesforce-native, it integrates through standard Salesforce APIs and middleware — the same surface as any other Salesforce application. These are the connections we design and build most often, and what actually moves in each one.

Salesforce CRM

CaseCloud runs inside the org, so client records, intake data and matter data share one source of truth — nothing syncs because nothing is separate.

LawPay

Retainer and invoice payments flow back to the matter record, IOLTA-compliant — so billing status is visible where the work is managed.

Accounting Seed

Native Salesforce accounting: tracked time and matter resources become invoices and ledger entries without leaving the org.

QuickBooks

Bi-directional sync for trust accounting, settlement entries, vendor bills and expenses — finance keeps its ledger, the firm keeps one view.

DocuSign

Retainers and legal documents generated from matter data go out for e-signature; executed copies land back on the matter automatically.

iManage

For firms keeping a dedicated DMS, matter documents link across so attorneys work from CaseCloud without losing the document store of record.

AWS Textract & AI

OCR-driven extraction pulls data from medical records and settlement documents straight into case records — custom-built, beyond the package.

Clio · MyCase · Filevine

Migration sources, not ongoing syncs: full data migration with record preservation and parallel-run validation through cutover.

Our Delivery Model

We don't deploy software. We build operating infrastructure.

The difference between a CaseCloud deployment that gets adopted and one that gets abandoned comes down to how it's designed before the first configuration is applied. Twopir runs discovery before we run setup.

Phase 01

Setup & Salesforce Configuration

Full installation and configuration of CaseCloud within your Salesforce org — object relationships, security-model alignment, field customization and integration with your existing Salesforce data, without creating technical debt.

Phase 02

Workflow Design

We map your actual intake-to-resolution process and build the automation around it: matter assignment rules, approval workflows, document routing and escalation triggers — your team's logic, not a generic legal template.

Phase 03

Templates & Documents

Matter templates, document libraries and version structures organized, with document-generation automation configured so common legal documents are produced from data — not rebuilt from scratch each time.

Phase 04

Reporting & Visibility

The reporting layer firm leadership actually uses: matter pipeline views, billing exposure dashboards, team workload reports and exception alerts. Real-time operating data, not weekly exports.

Why Twopir

Not a vendor. An architectural partner.

Firms don't struggle because they lack software. They struggle because the systems underneath matter management, billing and reporting were never designed to work together under real operational pressure.

We start with the operating model, not the software

Before we touch Salesforce we map how your firm opens matters, tracks time, invoices clients and runs operations. The system we build reflects your actual workflows — not a default template.

We own the outcome

We don't hand off a configuration document. We design, build, integrate, test and launch CaseCloud — and we stay until the system performs as promised.

We think across the full matter lifecycle

Intake, matter operations, billing, collections and reporting are not separate projects. We design them as one connected system inside your Salesforce org.

We have direct legal operations experience

We have built Salesforce and CaseCloud infrastructure for personal injury, family law and corporate practice firms. The use cases, workflows and pitfalls are known to us.

We build for scale, not just launch

Our architecture holds up as your firm grows — more matters, more offices, more practice areas. The system you launch should be the foundation for the next stage of growth.

Common Questions

Questions firms ask before we start

Mitratech CaseCloud installs inside your existing Salesforce org — it doesn't require a separate environment. If you already use Salesforce for CRM or other operations, Twopir will assess what's in your current org and design the CaseCloud setup to coexist cleanly with it, rather than creating a parallel environment that requires separate maintenance.

Scope determines timeline. A focused implementation — core matter management, billing setup and baseline reporting — typically runs 6–10 weeks. Engagements that include integrations with external billing systems, document automation or complex workflow logic take longer. Twopir scopes delivery against your actual requirements before any work begins.

Configuration covers everything the managed package supports through its own settings: matter stages, assignment rules, templates, checklists, billing rules and reports. Custom development starts when a requirement needs Apex, Lightning components or API integration beyond the package — a client portal, AI document extraction, or automation across objects the package doesn't touch. We classify each requirement during discovery so you know which side of the line it sits on before it's scoped.

Yes. As a Salesforce-native application, CaseCloud supports integration with external systems through standard Salesforce APIs and middleware platforms. Twopir handles integration design and build — connecting CaseCloud to e-signature tools, external billing platforms, accounting systems and document storage your firm already relies on.

CaseCloud requires Salesforce platform licensing plus the Mitratech CaseCloud subscription itself, and the right mix depends on your team size, roles and feature requirements. License requirements change, so Twopir assesses your current license position as part of discovery and confirms the correct structure against Mitratech's and Salesforce's current terms before you commit to anything.

CaseCloud scales from boutique practices to multi-office enterprises, and Mitratech positions it for law firms, in-house legal teams and public-sector legal departments alike. The platform's value — centralized matter data, automated billing, real-time reporting — is relevant regardless of firm size. Twopir has implemented it for single-practice firms and for firms managing multiple practice areas across multiple geographies; the scope adjusts to fit the firm.

Implementation-only partners optimize for delivery of the platform. We optimize for whether the platform improves the firm's operating performance. The engagement starts earlier — with architecture and process design — and continues beyond go-live with adoption support and scale planning.
