Where We See MuleSoft Deliver Most
Shopify & Salesforce
Shopify and Salesforce need to stay in sync — both ways. We've built this in production: live Shopify orders flowing into Salesforce as complete Account, Contact, Order, and OrderItem records, and Salesforce products pushed to Shopify with full variant and metafield support. Find-or-create logic keeps it idempotent, so nothing duplicates and nothing is re-entered by hand.
Platform Gaps
Salesforce can't model what your storefront needs. Salesforce has no native product-variant model. We solve gaps like this with deliberate architecture — a parent-child Product2 design synced to Shopify's GraphQL productSet — instead of forcing the platform into a shape it doesn't support.

Turning Live Shopify Orders Into Complete Salesforce Order Records, Automatically
A Mule 4 application listens for updated Shopify orders and builds the full Salesforce order graph end to end. For each order it finds the customer by email and reuses the existing Account or creates a new Account and Contact, resolves the standard Pricebook, creates the Order, then loops every line item to find or create the Product2 and PricebookEntry before writing each OrderItem — all with parameterized SOQL and DataWeave transformations, and a Salesforce OAuth client-credentials connection.

Solving Salesforce's Missing Variant Model With a Parent-Child Architecture
Salesforce has no native concept of product variants, so we modeled them as parent and child Product2 records and synced them to Shopify with full variant support. The pipeline expands flagged records to all sibling variants, groups them by parent, validates SKUs and option names, then creates or updates the product and every variant in a single Shopify productSet GraphQL mutation — followed by product- and variant-level metafields. Built-in retry/back-off handles Shopify rate limits, and a per-record export flag controls exactly what syncs.
