What Breadwinner connects to Salesforce

Breadwinner is a family of four native Salesforce apps, installed from the AppExchange as managed packages with no middleware in between. Each one keeps a finance system and Salesforce in two-way sync.

QuickBooks Desktop is not supported. Bills and purchase orders for QuickBooks Online and Xero are a Breadwinner add-on, and connecting several QuickBooks or Xero organizations to one Salesforce org is an add-on too.

Common Questions

Breadwinner questions, answered plainly

No. Breadwinner for QuickBooks connects QuickBooks Online to Salesforce, on every QuickBooks Online tier from Simple Start to Advanced. QuickBooks Desktop is not supported, so a Desktop company file has to move to QuickBooks Online before Breadwinner can sync it.

Yes. Each Breadwinner app is a managed package installed in your Salesforce org from the AppExchange, with no middleware or iPaaS between the two systems. It follows your Salesforce profiles, sharing rules and field-level security, and synced invoices and payments are Salesforce records you can use in standard reports, dashboards and Flows.

Yes. With Breadwinner for QuickBooks or Breadwinner for Xero, invoices can be created from an opportunity, an account or a custom object through a guided workflow, and their paid, due or overdue status comes back to the Salesforce record. Invoicing from any custom object is part of Breadwinner's Business plan.

Yes. Several QuickBooks Online or Xero organizations can be connected to one Salesforce org, each mapped to its own accounts and opportunities, as a Breadwinner add-on. Breadwinner for NetSuite handles OneWorld multi-subsidiary setups natively.

Breadwinner is SOC 2 Type II audited every year and has passed Salesforce's AppExchange security review. Its apps install in read-only mode, so nothing is written back to your finance system until an admin turns write-back on, and data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
