From Broken Automation to a Stable Salesforce FSC + Pardot System
A US mid-market financial services firm running Salesforce Financial Services Cloud and Pardot had automation misfiring, duplicate nurture and webinar sends, and silent SMS failures. We audited the full stack, migrated legacy automation to Flow, and rebuilt campaign tracking so Salesforce and Pardot finally agree with each other.
This Salesforce Financial Services Cloud audit and fix project covered marketing automation, campaign alignment, and data quality — delivered by Twopir's Pardot (Account Engagement) and Salesforce Flow specialists, with coverage across US EST, UK GMT, and AEST business hours.

What Was Broken, and What We Built Instead
Five Phases, From Audit to Optimization
Audited the Full Salesforce and Pardot Automation Stack
We reviewed every Process Builder rule, Flow, and Zapier automation running across the org. We mapped field usage across core objects to separate active logic from legacy clutter.
Migrated Pardot to Lightning and Rebuilt Campaign Alignment
We completed and tested the Pardot Lightning upgrade, then implemented Connected Campaigns to align Salesforce and Pardot tracking. We validated Campaign Member sync using controlled test records.
Resolved SMS Failures and Migrated Process Builder to Flow
We traced the Zapier SMS failures to a missing "To Number" field and corrected the mapping. We migrated remaining Process Builder automations to Flow, testing each one end-to-end.
Separated Nurture and Webinar Journeys with Suppression Logic
We identified overlapping 24-hour and 1-day webinar reminders firing alongside nurture emails. We built centralized suppression and exclusion logic so contacts only receive one relevant message.
Validated Form Tracking and Delivered a Data Cleanup Plan
We confirmed the Gravity Forms handler was passing every field, including UTM parameters, correctly into Salesforce. We delivered a data cleanup action plan and list-based engagement tracking for ongoing visibility.
The SMS reminders were failing silently and nobody upstream could see why. Once we traced it to a single missing field mapping, fixing it was the easy part — the harder work was making sure it couldn't happen again.

Salesforce and Pardot now run as one documented system
Automation is consolidated, auditable, and flow-based instead of scattered across Process Builder and legacy Zaps.
SMS reminder failures after the fix
The missing "To Number" mapping that broke every send has been corrected and tested end-to-end.
Duplicate reminder journeys merged into one
Nurture and webinar communications are now suppression-aware, so contacts receive one relevant message, not two.
UTM attribution restored on every form
The Gravity Forms handler now passes every field, including UTM parameters, correctly into Salesforce.
Field-usage roadmap delivered across core objects
The client now has a clear active-vs-unused action plan instead of guessing which fields still matter.
Every automation is tested and maintainable in-house
The client's own team can now troubleshoot Flow logic and campaign sync without waiting on outside help.
