From Third-Party Dependency to One Native Salesforce Listing System
A luxury real estate brokerage in the UAE relied on Propertybase to publish listings to portals like Zoopla and Rightmove. We built a native Salesforce integration — with Apex and Lightning Web Components — so agents publish, check, and unpublish listings without ever leaving Salesforce.

Every Gap Propertybase Left, We Closed Inside Salesforce
Five Phases, From Mapping the Old Dependency to Retiring It
Mapped the Propertybase Dependency
We reviewed how agents used Propertybase to publish listings and catalogued every manual step it required. That review became the blueprint for what the in-house system needed to replace.
Designed the Apex Integration Layer
We built the Apex logic that connects Salesforce directly to external portal APIs, including Zoopla and Rightmove. This layer handles authentication, data mapping, and the API calls that sync listing details.
Built the Lightning Web Component
We created a Lightning Web Component that gives agents Publish, Check Status, and Unpublish actions in one place. The component reflects live listing status without agents needing to leave Salesforce.
Implemented Listing Lifecycle Tracking
We added status indicators that track whether a property is listed or not, updated as the integration syncs. This gives agents and managers one source of truth for listing visibility.
Retired Propertybase for Listing Publishing
We rolled the new publishing flow out to agents and retired the Propertybase dependency for this workflow. Listings now go live directly from Salesforce, start to finish.
Before this, publishing a listing meant someone on our team logging into a separate platform and doing it manually — every single time. Now our agents publish, check, and remove listings without ever leaving Salesforce. That's the kind of integration that actually changes how a business operates.

Propertybase is no longer required
Publishing, checking, and removing property listings all run inside Salesforce.
Zoopla and Rightmove connected directly
Listings publish to both portals straight from the Salesforce record.
Publishing and unpublishing take one action
Agents use a single LWC button instead of a multi-step external process.
Listing status is visible the moment it changes
Agents and managers see Published or Not Published without checking another system.
The client owns its listing publishing process
The integration is built and maintained on Salesforce, not a rented third-party tool.
Publishing, status checks, and removals in one workflow
Agents no longer switch tools to manage a listing's full lifecycle.
